Zindigi  and Orient Electronics Launch Digital Supply Chain Financing to Empower Pakistan’s SMEs

Officials MOU signing partnership agreement

Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, and Orient Electronics Pvt. Ltd have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce a Digital Supply Chain Financing (DSCF) program designed to support suppliers and distributors across Orient’s value chain. Through this strategic initiative, Zindigi aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with structured, cost-efficient, and easily accessible financing solutions that strengthen financial stability and risk management.

With Zindigi’s advanced digital infrastructure, Orient Electronics will act as the Anchor organization, enabling seamless, technology-driven financing for vendors within its supplier and distributor network. Under this program, eligible suppliers will be able to access financing based on SME credit evaluation and in alignment with the State Bank of Pakistan’s regulatory framework for value chain financing.

SMEs remain the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, yet a large portion of them continues to struggle with limited access to formal financial services. In response to SBP reforms, this partnership aims to enhance financial inclusion, accelerate SME growth, and promote innovation through technology-enabled structured financing.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Imtiaz Khalid, Country Head SME at JS Bank, said:

“SMEs play a crucial role in Pakistan’s economic development and employment growth. At Zindigi, we value this partnership with Orient Electronics as it marks a significant step toward providing structured and affordable digital supply chain financing—empowering SMEs to scale and contribute more effectively to the national economy.”

The MoU signing was attended by leadership from both organizations, including Sania Batool Shah (Head of Digital Lending) from Zindigi and senior representatives from Orient Electronics: Ahmad Fazal (Managing Director), Zaeem Ahmad (Director), and Ahsan Bashir (CFO).

This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Zindigi and Orient Electronics to driving digital transformation, strengthening financial access, and enabling Pakistan’s SMEs to thrive in a fast-evolving, technology-driven economic landscape.
