US-Iran Peace Accord Signed: President Trump and Pezeshkian Finalize Historic Treaty Brokered by Pakistan

ISLAMABAD / VERSAILLES — In a historic victory for Pakistani diplomacy, the United States and Iran have officially signed a comprehensive initial treaty to permanently end their months-long war, ease crippling economic sanctions on Tehran, and reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formally endorsed the agreement, detailing that the breakthrough was facilitated via intensive mediation efforts by Pakistan. US President Donald Trump signed the physical accord in Versailles alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, ahead of a broader global signing ceremony scheduled for Friday in Switzerland. The immediate stabilization of global shipping lanes is expected to drastically cool down international oil markets and supply chain pressures.
