ISLAMABAD — To rapidly scale up Pakistan’s agricultural export footprint, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formally launched the Pakistan Animal Identification and Traceability System (PAITS) during a national seminar in Islamabad. Addressing industry leaders, the Premier guaranteed that the federal government will provide 100% funding for the local development of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccines, eliminating a major bottleneck for meat and dairy exports to China and the Gulf. To back this digital transition, the government is also funding advanced training in China for an additional 1,000 fresh Pakistani agriculture graduates.
