Pakistan Introduces Its First AI Judge

In a major stride for Pakistan’s AI landscape, innovators Ammara Aftab (Pro AI Lady) and Faraz Hussain Buriro have unveiled EvalKaar, the country’s first AI Judge, designed to transform how projects, startups, and innovations are assessed with fairness, transparency, and zero bias.

EvalKaar is a cutting-edge multimodal AI evaluation system capable of analysing text, video, audio, images, and source code, enabling a complete, data-driven judgment process. Powered by machine learning, NLP, and computer vision, it delivers accurate and ethical evaluations within minutes, eliminating the delays and inconsistencies of manual reviews.

The system automatically evaluates key factors, including technical feasibility, innovation potential, business impact, scalability, and market readiness, before generating a detailed score and recommendation.

EvalKaar recently made its national debut at the Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives during the Uraan AI Hackathon, where it evaluated hundreds of AI-driven projects, marking Pakistan’s first-ever use of AI for large-scale, transparent assessments.

According to co-creator Ammara Aftab, “EvalKaar represents a milestone in Pakistan’s journey toward Responsible and Ethical AI. It embodies the core principles of the National AI Policy and UNESCO’s AI Ethics Framework, while advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting transparency, equality, and innovation.”

Faraz Hussain added, “EvalKaar reflects precision and accountability. With its multimodal architecture, it can assess text, visuals, and code, ensuring unbiased and comprehensive evaluations. We envision it being utilised by universities, innovation centres, and national bodies to enable fair, intelligent, and efficient assessments.”

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), EvalKaar sets a new benchmark for ethical digital transformation.

With this breakthrough, Pakistan moves closer to an AI-powered future where intelligence, ethics, and innovation unite to build trust, fairness, and sustainable progress.
