Beijing, China – Beihang University (BUAA) is now accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) High-Level Postgraduate Program 2026, a fully funded opportunity for international students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees. The High-Level Postgraduate Program aims to support academically outstanding and research-oriented students. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health. Age and educational requirements are:
- Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree holders under 35
- PhD applicants: Master’s degree holders under 40
Language requirements:
- Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5 (score ≥180); applicants with HSK 3 or 4 may enroll in a one-year language program
- English-taught programs: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 90, or Duolingo 105; GRE recommended but optional
Applicants should demonstrate excellent academic performance, research potential, and development capabilities.
Application Process
The application period opened on November 1, 2025, and is divided into three batches:
- 1st Batch: December 10, 2025
- 2nd Batch: January 10, 2026
- 3rd Batch: February 28, 2026
Applications must be submitted through both Beihang University and the CSC Scholarship system, including:
- Academic transcripts
- Language certificates
- Supervisor acceptance letters
- Study plans
- Recommendation letters
- Research evidence and other supporting documents
Applicants will undergo document review, preliminary interview, and academic interview online via Zoom or Tencent Meeting. Final selection is made by CSC after Beihang University’s recommendation.
